A: Our shared plans are incredibly powerful, but transcoding is a highly resource-intensive task. For heavy or multiple-transcode streams, we strongly recommend a Video Dedicated Server to guarantee performance.
Q: Why do I need this if NGINX-RTMP is free?
A: NGINX-RTMP is a fantastic ingest engine. Flussonic is a complete transcoding and delivery solution. If you just need to “go live,” NGINX is great. If you need to provide multiple-quality-levels (ABR), DVR, or a protected VOD library, you need Flussonic.
